69 Prozent der jungen Leute zwischen 12 und 25 Jahren glauben, dass sich Politiker nicht dafür interessieren, was sie denken und möchten. Auch wenn das Politikinteresse der jungen Menschen in den letzten Jahren wieder etwas angestiegen ist (46% befassen sich mit im weitesten Sinn mit Politik), bleibt eine grosse Skepsis gegenüber den Politikern. Dies führt zu der vorherrschenden Politikverdrossenheit.
Dies zeigt sich auch daran, dass nur 8% der Parteimitglieder unter 30 Jahren sind.
